12 months…and the end of summer

So…we survived the 1st 12 months as a family of 5.  It passed by like a rocket…whoosh.

They get more handsome everyday…hard to believe that they will be starting 1st grade this week.

12 months old!!!   Yes…we still get stopped so that people can “ooh and aah” over this cute little guy…the curls…the dimples…the eyes…and that smile.  He started his 2nd year at a run, just trying to keep up with his older brothers.

The older boys ventured out of the state for the 1st time without their parents…who were left behind in the Texas heat.  Where better to go than on a lake in the midwest?  Wisconsin provided lots of opportunities to venture outdoors…tubing, waterskiing, biking, swimming, playing tennis, playing golf, fishing, and making smores over a campfire.

Checking out the Green Lake County Fair…lots of tractors and animals.

Jackson got up on a wakeboard for 15 seconds…very impressive!DSC_0141

Wyatt preferred the tube!

Logan kept us busy, racing to catch up with him.  He wanted to go for a spin in Pop’s gator, but he settled for sitting in it while it was off.  He loved running around barefoot in the grass.  He even tolerated his brother carrying him around.

Testing out Pop’s new tube…they gave it 2 thumbs up!

Fishing off the pier

We chased Logan around the airport, hoping to tire him out.  Screaming for the 1st 75 minutes of a 120 minute flight, in reality, is what tired him out.  Testing out the “cheeseheads”…they make better Broncos fans.

Enjoying a vacation…at last

Needless to say, Jackson and Wyatt keep Logan very entertained!IMG_1462

Why sit, when you can stand?

Yummy 1st birthday cake!  Most of the cake ended up smeared on his chest or thrown on the ground….either way, he smiled the entire time.

Grandparents are the best…these boys were spoiled rotten

May the force be with you!

11 months…

11 months…hard to believe all that time has passed.  We have a walker, teether, babbler…and eater.  He is eager to catch up with his older brothers…any way he can.

Sometimes it is easier to climb in the basket with all of the toys…getting out is definitely more difficult than getting in.

These 2 guys are full of energy…and hard to keep up with.  Swimming, golfing, playing tennis…essentially doing any sport they can.

Getting ready for the PGA tour…

When it is too hot…inside games can be more fun, especially when you can use a Lego minifigure as a pawn.

Playing 9 holes…and trying to remember how to keep score.

Golf is a family sport…when Logan is big enough, I am sure he will want to come along as well.

Hoping to be the next Jordan Speith…

Thinking of how his golf club could be used like a light saber…and dreaming of being a Jedi.

I have my box of toys…I’m good.

Until next time…

Milestones…

Every week has new adventures for everyone here…this week was no exception.

Last game of the T-ball season…full of hits and outs.

  “Let’s play ball!  Go Cougars!”

He must take his Lego catalog everywhere he goes…working on his wish list.

Discovering the “bye bye” window…he can even wave and say “bye bye.”

1st visit by the tooth fairy.  2 teeth lost…well, actually, taken out by the dentist.

What better way to finish off the week…showing their true Texas colors and taking their first sips of Dr. Pepper

Until next time…on the search for new adventures!

Run, walk, run…repeat

It does not seem to be too difficult for me to get lots of steps in a day now…since I have been on activity restriction for the past year, I have relied on my step counter to keep me going.   We go from camp to swimming to baseball to reading and then back to camp…this family only knows one speed…”Go!”  Even LG has figured out that he needs to start moving (crawling at 6 months and walking at 10 months).

Sometimes a car helps get you from point A to point B.

In honor of Father’s Day…the older boys and I took “Daddy” to a minor league baseball game.  Thankfully the clouds were out so it was not too hot.

The Rough Riders did not win…but it was a fun game to watch.  Being on the 3rd baseline sent a lot of foul balls out way.  We celebrateD the evening with our neighborhood T ball team, and the boys eagerly showed off their hard-earned medals!

Next up…the big swim meet where the older boys swam fast in their 2nd team meet of the season.

They looks like such big kids in their official team Speedos.

LG will be swimming with his big brothers some day soon!

Until next time… Love is Love.

10 months and walking…

LG is never one to turn down a challenge…and so, like his big brothers, he decided that walking early was a good idea.  Now we spend our days trying to keep him contained.

Next step…talking?  Hopefully this milestone will come a little earlier than it did for his brothers.

After spending he 1st nine months avoiding dairy, soy & egg…LG is finally free to tempt his taste buds with any food except honey…avocados are his favorite…next up pancakes.

Off for our next adventure…stay tuned.
